My son just transferred to McLaurin this school year. He is in the 4th grade. He likes the teachers (says they teach well), but he feels that the kids are bad--'they curse', he says. I am, basically, satisfied so far, but I haven't had enough experience with the school to give it an honest rating.

School has wonderful teachers, but discipline has been on decline since last year. They did start cracking down in the last semester but went about it the wrong way. Children can not learn at home and that is what most children want. When they don't count the days for the absence, then the school doesn't look bad and the teachers don't have to put up with a full class of students. Lets face it, all of us teachers would love a well behaved perfect class. Not going to happen, bring back in God and punishment with parental consent. It won't fix all the problems, but it will put a dent in it.
