I left this school 2 years ago and i've never been happier! This school is full of misbehaving idiots and the teachers cannot control them. When I went to school here i felt like i was in prison other than a school. Now I have graduated and recieved a scholarship. I never would have succeeded at anything but prison or an insane asylum if i had stayed there. I agree that this school should be shut down.

Newton High School is a great small-town school. There are no discipline problems like in large schools. The teachers go above and beyond what is required. My counselor and coach gave up 3 days of their Thanksgiving Break to open the computer lab so I could review for the SATP test. We have great athletics, although we don't win every game. We might not have some of the stuff big schools do, but the teachers really care. We have small classes and get individual attention. If you have passed Mrs. McClendon's biology classes and Ms. Neal's upper math classes, you can do anything!

This is my 11th year at Newton, and I have not yet wanted to leave, despite others choosing to do so. I feel I am well-educated and prepared for college. Newton is a great small school!

I think that Newton City Schools are some of the greatest schools in Mississippi. Despite what others say, students really learn a lot there.
