This is a poorly run school from my teacher's point of view. The new principal had a minimum of teaching experience before getting this principalship and, while friendly enough, is incompetent as a leader at present. He might do okay with some training.

This school is great. The principal is on a first-name basis with each child; the currirculum specialist knows the needs of each child. The teachers are caring. Although this district doesn't have the money to provide the extras that some districts do, they do the very best with what they have. They are teaching our children to read, write, and do math, but also to use technology. I think it is a great small-town school. I am very proud of it.

Horrendous! The teachers & principal are nice enough, but the education level is very poor. There is not enough $$$ for special needs children or misc. services/classes and the busses are extremely unsafe because they mix K-12 grade on the same bus. The staff may be kind and caring towards the children, but that is not an indication that these children will be prepared for the real world when they leave. Most do not graduate highschool, the curriculum is 1-2 yrs behind the schools in the North and there are just way too many racial slurs/issues to make this district worth moving into. Unfortunately the entire state isn't much better.

This school more than meets the educational needs of children. Children are encouraged to do their personal best at all times. NES offers music, computer, and physical education classes that I feel are essential to balancing my child's educational needs. The teachers, that I have had the priveledge of meeting, have all been great. They really take a personal interest in each child. Overall, I am pleased with this school system. The principal is also very interested in the well-being of each student. She also knows each child by name. I think that is evidence supporting her dedication to being personally involved in each child's educational experience. This school also has an active Parent/Teacher Organization which was responsible for placing updated, safer, playground equipment on the campus. I am proud to be a part of this school system and look forward to my child completing his education here.
