I've had two sons at Osyka Elementary and I must say, the teachers don't get any better! They are strong in their knowledge and determination to teach these kids, not only academics, but morals, social skills and respect for themselves and each other. I'm proud to be the PTO President for the past three years and to have watched the parents and teachers accoumplish fabulous things in that time. The scores relect the level of academic excellence (Level 4 out of 5) and the PTO accomplishments reflect the parents' commitment to make this school great. It is one of the last of the old neighborhood schools and we aim to keep it with us.
My child has been going to Osyka for three years and I must commend all of the faculty and the principal for their genuine caring, involvement and leadership during our time there. The faculty shows such love for the children and you can tell that they really care about their education and for them on a personal level as well. My son has learned alot over the last three years and I am looking forward to the next four years at Osyka.
Personally this is the best school in the county. My child has went there for two years. The teachers are wonderful. It has an old time sense of belonging. Members of the faculty are like your own family, and they treat you like family. And most know you by name, even after having only met them once. The best community school around.
