Great school! I can't say enough about the teachers and staff at Strayhorn. It is a place where you feel your kids are safe and cared about. We feel very fortunate that we have such a great public school for our kids to attend!

LOVE , LOVE, LOVE SES & SHS , yes we finally got our HS. I am a SES alumni and now my kids will each be SHS alumni instead of being bused up to CHS. We have some of the best teachers at our school , not only do they teach ,they also parent, counsel, and nurse our children. I can not say enough good things about our teachers and lets not forget the staff. The staff plays a important role in our kids too. I love the staff at both schools.

My son began school here in 6th grade 06-07, attending Southhaven Middle previously, and hated school, grades were satisfactory, didn't care to read or do homework, after purchasing a new home in Sarah, and enrolling him at strayhorn, he has made a complete turnaround, he finished 6th grade with the most AR ( advanced reading ) points for the entire 6th grade...625 Points, for only 3 months of school, he tested for TAGS ( talented and gifted ) and made it, he enjoys doing projects, and even completes the most of his homework without supervision. Now into 7th grade, they've dived the classes, all boys, all girls, or co-ed, he's in the all boy class I love it! no distractions...If ya know what I mean, they've incorporated The Apprentice into class so now they work as a group.

Strayhorn has great teachers and a great principal. They really care about the kids and make learning a top priority. My little girl is in first grade and she loves her school. They also have a high school now.

All of my siblings and I attended this school. Now our children are there and they have added a high school this year. This school is excellent and I wish I could have had the opportunity to do all of my high school career here. Great teachers! They rally seem to care about their students. A big emphasis is placed on education and not simply teachers earning a check.

I went to this school from Kindergarden to %th grade and it was the greatest school I ever went to. The teachers were the best and I will always cherish the great memories that I made in this school. I love the small school atmosphere that it has , where everyone knows each other. But of course when I went there it was alot smaller. But even though it is expanding. I still think that it will be an excellent learning enviroment for your children. And I myself cannot wait to send my kids there!

My children currently attend Strayhorn and I really like it. My oldest has gone since Kindergarten and I have never had any problems, he is now in 5th grade. My only concern is that it only goes to the 8th grade afterwhich they are bused to Coldwater, which is horrible!
