I don't know how in the world they received such a rating. My child's time at Sumrall Middle School has been anything BUT good. The teachers are never there, very poor communication between teachers and parents, and no leadership from administration whatsoever. It has been a constant struggle to get a good education there. They may do well on MCT's, but that is ALL they focus on. Academics are way behind where they should be. I did think my child was getting the instruction that was needed to succeed in high school and college and I was right. When I moved him to a better school, he is so far behind academically than where they are.
