I truly love Sumrall Elementary! The teachers are wonderful! My son was in the fifth grade this year. He struggled for years with math. He absolutely hated it. The fifth grade math teacher was unbelievable. She would spend her time off with him to help him with his math. She made math fun! She explained each individual step to the students until everyone understood exactly what they were doing. I appreciate her and all the rest of the fifth grade teachers. That math teacher was the best! My son's favorite subject is math!

The elementary principal is wonderful. He really cares about the kids and the kids all seem to love him! The teachers that my children have had for kindergarten and 2nd grade were great with my kids. They tried to give individual attention as much as possible in a class size of about 22 kids. There is a teacher and assistant for each class from K-2 grades. There were problems with my kids getting their lunch money to school some days--teachers do not take lunch money up during roll call each morning as they did when I was growing up! I feel that is a drawback! Elementary students that young should not be expected to be responsible for money from 7:45 until lunchtime!
