I am a parent of a child who attended Pierce Street. I believe this school is th ebest kept secret in Tupelo. This school has been involved in Art Integration as a way to teach children for eleven years. The test scores prove this method works. Children are encouaged to think outside the box and use their creativity. This school has been recognized on the state and national levels for Arts Integration. Pierce Street is a Model school for the Arts. This school has been featured in the book Third Space. Teachers at Pierce Street are extremely aware of progress of the individual child. They are higly trained and qualified teachers. My child had a extremely positive experience at Pierce Street. This is a top notch school with a top notch staff.

My daughter is in first grade at Pierce Street and absolutely loves it. Art is her favorite subject and at Pierce Street, you can see student art on every wall. The teachers are amazing. They really care about the kids and work hard to inspire the children to want to learn. My daughter is able to check out books at the library and we know they are just right for her because of the tests she takes after each one. Right now she is reading books 'with a pink circle with a black dot in the middle.' The controlled environment assures us our daughter is well cared for and safe.

I have had 1 child that attended Pierce Street in the past and currently have another child attending there now. Pierce Street is a great school. It is staffed with highly qualified and very caring teachers that are constantly striving to challange the students with creative and inovative teaching methods. Pierce Street is an Arts heavy school and partners with the Mississippi Arts Council to provide Tupelo with its only elementary school that offers Drama.
