Parent involvement is low, but I feel it is not encouraged. My experience at Fisk elementary has been ok. Special Services for my child have been very lacking. The principal is a nice man, but talks out of both sides of his mouth I think. He tells me what he thinks I want to hear, and then I don't think he talks to the teacher or makes sure they correct the issues of concern. I feel some teachers are working hard with technology while the older teachers, don't want to deal with it, as they would have to learn before they could teach my child.

I have not been very happy with my children's education at Twin Rivers High School. I feel some students are given more liberties than others. Students from one end of the district are treated better than those from the other end. In some classes the students copy the work of others, but the one who were copied from make lower grades than those who copied. Some of the teachers try hard to accomodate ALL of the students, but they are usually scorned by those who don't. Students who participate in sports are given more recognition than those who excel academically. As a whole, I have not been extremely please with my children's education.
