We LOVE this school and could not be happier with the teachers, administrators and staff. Parkade goes above and beyond to create special events/opportunities to connect the school with the families that it serves. Our child has thrived in Parkade's caring and positive environment, and has developed a love for learning. Her teacher is outstanding and we have full confidence in the teaching and guidance of the faculty. The principal at Parkade was named "Administrator of the Year" and for good reason! She reflects the amazing attributes of an amazing school!

This is a wonderful public elementary school. Our daughter is in kindergarten at Parkade. Her teacher is amazing. The PTA is very active. The principal knows all of the children and greats them at the door each morning.

My child GOT HIT/SPANKED by a 2nd grade teacher at this school... The Principal really did nothing. MY child did not need a teacher with a counseling background and nursing background. My child isn't imbalanced. I was very infuriated that the teacher didn't get FIRED.... I couldn't believe it. This teacher didn't even have the GUTS to own up to SPANKING my child..... There was only ONE GREAT teacher there... Mrs. VOTH.... MRS. VOTH is THE best.... Mrs VOTH is the most patient and loving teacher a school could ever have... The SPANKING TEACHER could take some LESSONS from MRS. VOTH.... That school is dragging MRS. VOTH down... I know that if one teacher such as THE SPANKING TEACHER would hit a child there are more of her kind there.....

Parkade teachers and staff realy do care about the welfare and well being of their students. Can't help my bias... Power to the teachers they ALL need great salaries to continue the outstanding work in shaping our childrens minds ands hearts. Preparing them to help them deal with and resolve conflicts without totally condeming the child or destorying his or her self esteem.

I have had the fantastic opportunity to be both a parent and a staff member at this wonderful school. Both of my children have attended Parkade and I can't say enough good things about this school. We have wonderful kids and wonderful teachers who are very dedicated to them. The administrative support is fantastic. The parental involvement seems to be improving. I will be very sad when my youngest graduates next year and we move on to the upper grade schools.

We moved from Texas last August to Columbia and both of my children attend Parkade. If it were not for my sons second grade teacher he would never have got the quality help he needed to get to grade level reading. He was also tested by this school and determined to have ADHD. This school is very helpful and cares about the students individually. My son and daughter have excelled at this school and I really appreciate all the help they have given my son. If it were not for this school my son would still be suffering and behind in reading and math.

My son is in the first grade and his teacher is Mr. Hill. Mr. Hill is an exceptional teacher. He has the ability and patience to reach the children and makes learning fun. We are very fortunate to have him in our school - he should win the Teacher of the Year award!!

I have 3 children at Parkade. This is a great school. Parent involvement is very important to them. A weekly report is sent home to let you know how your child is doing. There are alot of extracurriculur programs in music, art, and health awareness. We will miss this school when we move.

Both of my children have or are attending Parkade Elementary. In the past I had heard Parkade wasn't a good school. I disagree! Parkade has wonderful teachers and administration! It is a loving and caring school. I hate to see my youngest graduate from there this year. I think Parkade has received a bad reputation and it is incorrect.

We are thrilled that our son attended Parkade this year. The principals and teachers are very warm and friendly. I interface daily with them and I feel at home in the school. The reading curriculum is very individualized. My son is being instructed at his own level, as is everyone in his class. Thanks to his teacher's instruction, he is reading at a higher grade level. We enjoy all the activities Parkade offers. The staff go all out to provide a great sense of community. Parent participation in my son's class seems great to me. At one activity, there were so many parents the room seemed very full. I also love the diversity in the classroom at Parkade. Also, I have never seen the principals in their offices as I would expect. They seem very involved in the day to day functions of the school. Highly recommend!

While Parkade has excellent teachers, it does not provide a safe environment for the children. The Principal will have to increase discipline in order to regain control of this school.

When my daughter was getting ready to enter the school system I was skeptical about Parkade in fact I seriously debated transfering her to another school but decided to give Parkade a shot, at least for kindergarten. I was very impressed with my daughters teacher and the quality of education she received. I wish that more parents would get involved but I understand why some can't. I make sure to be involved as a room mom and on field trips if at all possible and keep in contact with my daughters teachers to make sure I know everything that is going on. I have now dealt with 2 teachers at Parkade and I feel like I have had nothing but support from them and wonderful teaching of my daughter! I think Parkade is underestimated in its potential to be a really good school!

Regardless of what the statistics on the MAP reflect, my child has received a wonderful education at Parkade. I have even transferred both of my children to this school because of the quality of education I feel is received at this school. Parent Involvement is not very high perhaps due to the elevated number of children who are at the poverty level. I think that Parkade is a wonderful school and am proud to have children who attend this school.
