Central Elementary School

We moved to Dexter from Jackson, MO. in Feb. 2004. My daughter was in 3rd grade. The teacher and staff were absolutely wonderful in helping her with the transition. She couldn't wait to go back to school (that's a first for her). School started today and she came home going on and on about how nice her teacher is. I am ecstatic with these schools. In Jackson, she was always waking up feeling sick, not wanting to go to school for one reason or another. She would cry on a daily basis because she had to go and didn't like her teacher. (2nd grade) We got no help from the principal with this problem. This is a non-issue in Dexter. The teachers are wonderful, caring, intelligent indivduals. She loves her teachers and is getting an A+ education, what more could you ask for.

I have moved from hazelwood school district to Dexter school district and I am so pleased we made that change. It has been great to my children and with all of the after school programs that are free to you for reading it has help one of my children great and on discipline I'm very happy with the way they run the schools.

My daughter is in 3rd grade at Central. I really am upset that the school will not help her in some subjects that she really needs help in. I am looking at other and smaller schools to put her into next year. I am not impress this year wuth the teaching staff at all.
