The teacher that my child had was wonderful. She did everything possible to help my child stay caught up with her schoolwork when she had to miss due to my own illness. However, the vice principal is a real brow -beater. He will break a child down until they confess whether they are guilty or not and then punish them some more for admitting it. The principal always backs him up and there's not much that can be done. Don't even get me started on the bus drivers. If your child is being bullied, well that's too bad. The bullied child gets to sit at the front of the bus for the entire school year, while the bully can sit anywhere. So the child that was bullied is sure to feel like the one in trouble. The principal and vice principal and bus garage manager are jerks(to say the least!)

They are behind the times in the type of discipline they use. My child has a hearing loss and still she is mumbled to by those in that know about the disability and are aware of how to speak to her. If your child has a problem with someone at school, you can run around in circles trying to get someone to listen to you. Some children are even afraid to admit they are having a problem with a teacher to another person in authority at the school, because it is deemed 'insulting the teacher'; which then gets the child in trouble. I agree contacting a teacher is like pulling teeth. The office workers/principle are rude also. This is not a good school at all.

This school is lucky to be called a school. Just take a look at the MAP testing results. I think that speaks for itself. I don't beleive they honestly care about the kids. I think they are there for a job and nothing more. The school is outdated. It is hard to get a teacher to contact you if your child is having problem. They want to act like the own your child from 8am to 3pm. If you are thinking of moving to this school district I am warning you ahead of time. Your child will suffer not improve.

I have a son going to this school's Early Childhood Development Classes. Which is good. The teachers are great and it's helped him alot. He'll be starting Pre-K Next year. But the school board and safety of the school isn't good. My nephew's ex grand-parents arrived at the school and tried to get him to go with them, which the school knows they're not suppose to take him because they made threats to kidnap him before. The teachers keep him safe and he's scared of them so he didn't go over to them. But the school board refused to do anything about it. That in my option is bad. They wouldn't make any reports and refused to let the teachers write statements about it.
