Atonement Lutheran is an excellent school !!!! Both of my kids have attended the school since preschool. The teachers are awesome, the kids learn so much from them. My son who is now a sophomore in high school is getting inducted into the National Honor Society. He has such a good foundation for learning which began at Atonement and continued as he grew at Atonement. My daughter is in the 8th grade and will graduate this May. I am so thankful my kids attend/attended Atonement and received such a wonderful education. I can't thank the teachers and staff enough for taking such good care of my kids. The school nurse is the best and is a God send. She cares so much for all the kids and takes excellent care of them. I would highly recommend sending your children to Atonement if you want a christian education with wonderful people who truly care about their students.

Atonement isnt a good school. The teachers are rude and are only there to get their pay. The english/literature teacher for 6th-8th grade is very unorganized. She loses the kids papers causing them to get low grades or re-do them. Also if you ask her for help she will tell you to look at your notes or look in the back. My child has faced horrible discrimination against her race. My daughter is in 8th grade now and my son is in 6th grade and they are both learning the same exact things for English/Literature. Unorganized, unfair tuition(your not getting what you should for your money) and rude are a few rods to describe Atonement please be aware of all circumstances that may occur!

i went to atonement and it was painful the teachers were rude and didn't ask the childrens sides of the story! and to think in first grade they were teaching me algabre! and at the end of the year i was griefing over my grandmas death and the held me back ! this space is too small for the words to describe this school. two thumbs down.

If you like to use your child's classroom tests as learning tools there is one teacher who doesn't return these for parental review. Also, middle school grades all receive the same tests in english and literature--not age/grade level appropriate materials.

Excellent school. Great Christ Centered Education with the latest technology's available. Great value. A staff that trully cares about the students and works hard to give them what they need.

I have a daughter who attends Atonement. I also attended myself. I am very thankful for the teachers and staff at Atonement for providing my child with a quality, Christian education.

My son had been a student at Atonement for 4 years and I couldn't be happier. This is a great school with a nuturing atmosphere that any child would thrive in.

I went to Atonement for the 4th-8th grades. I have also coached basetball there for 2 years afer I was in high school. Atonement is a great school. It prepared me very well for high school and was a place where I formed lasting friendships. I appreciate all of the teachers there, but I do have to say my favorite teacher will always be Doris Eggers. For any parent of a kindergartener, Mrs. Eggers is the best from both a student and parent's aspect.

Atonement is a school with high educational values. I have been there for six years and plan to stay untill the end of eighth grade. Almost all children there make an averege of C or greater, and many have great acidemic success. the discipline is very strict and starting the 2005-2006 year they will be issueing uniforms. They teach all regular subjects, plus computers, music, and the lutheran religon. A chapel service is held every Wednesday, which all students attend. Atonement is probably the best school i ever went to and is in my opinion one of the best in Missouri.

After several years in public school, my daughter has been at Atonement Lutheran for only four months. However, I must say the difference is dramatic. Everyone at Atonment Lutheran has been more than helpful and she has made friends quickly. The positive attitude that radiates from the staff is evident everyday.

Our daughter has been at Atonement for 2 years. The curriculum is excellent. The church leans to the liberal side. It is a wonderfully mixed group of children. I would like to see more activities offered but other than that I have no complaints.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
