The teachers have been wonderful, but the administration and policies leave much to be desired. They work to achieve a desired goal, but often go about it in a manner that punishes students for things which they have little or no control over (kindergarten kids being suspended because parents drop them off a few minutes late or pick them up early) . Also, I have a highly intelligent daughter who was bored in her regular classes. When they evaluated her in the beginning of the year, her placement was ABOVE what they wanted students to be at by the end of the year. She scored flawlessly on all her work and tests but they REFUSED to test for the gifted program, claiming they needed MAP scores (end of year) to have something to base their referral on. That one test, not repeated performances, means everything. So she's wasting away for another year until they get their precious scores back.
