My son's are in the 8th and 5th grade at St. Ann's and one son that graduated last year. Being at St. Ann's has been great for our family. The classes are small and many allow the kids to work ahead at their own pace. My 8th grader has had the opportunity to attend St. Mary's High School for algebra class. They have played football, basketball and track through the Parochial League of KC. The parents and teachers know all of the kids and work together to help all kids succeed. When problems have occurred, I have known the teachers and principal to be available, realistic, and concerned for my children's well being. The teachers have worked with us to provide accelerated learning options as well as proactive behavioral assistance when needed. The friendships we have made at St. Ann's, both the kids and adults, will last a long time.
The teachers have over-all poor quality. I hope the school finds better respect for the children's well being and education. St Ann's should be ashamed to be a part of the Greater Kansas City school district.
