Union Chapel is an amazing school. I know there must be budget cuts happening given the state of the economy, but it doesn't feel like it at the school. The teachers are wonderful. The principal, Dr. Archer, is great with the kids and parents. We thought about private school, but I'm so glad we didn't do it, I can't imagine we would be getting value for those dollars in comparison to what we get at Union Chapel.

I assist a teacher in the 4th grade for part of the day 4 days out of the school week. I can say that the school is well operated and all of the children have a passion for reading and to excel.

We have more than one child and have experienced almost every grade level at Union Chapel. The quality of education here rivals the private school we used to pay for! Park Hill SD is well regarded throughout KC and Union Chapel is one of the most desired schools in the district, attracting some of the most talented teachers from the area. UC is best known for its excellent academic curriculum, high level of parental involvement, low student/teacher ratios, and for recognizing that sports and the arts can be as valuable as the textbooks. They have the maximum allowable number of before and after-school clubs (28), created and sponsored by staff (and a few parents.) That's in addition to the multi-faceted musical programs, the revolving student art displays, numerous PTA-supported events, and 'Field Day,' the end-of-the-year, fun-for-the-whole-family day filled with entertaining games, a lot of water activities, and a little class competition.
