This is my daughters first year at Martin City and I am very impressed with the level of learning she has received from her 4th grade teacher Ms. Walters.

I work in the Before and After School Program, this school is excellent I wish I had a young child that could attend this school the teachers are helpful, friendly and very nice. They go out of their way to make you feel apart of the school. The principles are also very helpful and fair. I love working here.

My children transferred into Martin City Elem. this school year. I love it! I am secure in knowing that they are in a safe and nurturing environment where teachers work a meeting the individual needs of each child. The class sizes seem large, but that does not take away from the individual attention each child receives.

I have a son at MCE starting 2nd grade and a son in MCMS starting 7th grade next year. The academic programs at MCE are excellent. They introduced 'Reading Night' a couple years ago and it just keeps getting better and better!I would like to see more after-school activities--available for all grades. I have been involved in the PTA for 6 years and will be PTA President 2007/2008. There is a core group of parents (many full-time working) who spend many hours making all the events possible at the school for students, families and staff. I would love to see more parents give even 1, 2 or 3 hours this coming year. We have opportunities to fit everyone's time frame! MCE is a great school and I would recommend to anyone. The principal and assistant principal are wonderful and love the kids deeply!

I love this school and I think it is great! It is very diverse. The parent involvement leaves a little to be desired. I am the room mother for my daughter's 1st grade class and I have no help from the other parents in the class. I am also in the PTA and we could use more parent help. It is always the same parents up there helping out and doing things there.

MC elem. is a good school. I have a son entering 5th and a son entering K. Most of the teachers welcome communication w/parents and PTA involvement during room parties, etc. I feel my children are safe during the day, as MC doesn't seem to tolerate the 'bullyness' in kids. Not enough parental involvement! I encourage all parents to get involved in the PTA for interaction with other parents and the teachers . . . there are lots of opportunities.

I have a child that is in kindergarten this year. I was very excited to watch her learn and grow. I believe the academics at this school are pretty good. Her teacher is absolutely the best. The main problem that I have is that I feel like parents are not encouraged to be a part of there child's school. The feeling that I get is that they want you to drop your child off and pick them up and that is it. My friends and family in other schools are very involved and always doing something at school. I am very disappointed to send my 6 year old to school for seven hours and not feel welcome to be a part of her days.
