My son is in second grade. He loves Green Tree and I have seen his level of maturity grow. The teachers are very nice and the level of work he is doing is commendable however I don't agree with the timed tests where a certain amount of math questions must be answered in 90 seconds flat. At his age, the focus should be more on understanding the principles and not rushing to answer all the questions and making silly mistakes along the way. Overall its a good school, you just have to work with the teacher so your child's individual needs are met. After all you know your child best.

Our son attend Green Tree and will be in Third Grade this year. For the most part we love this school! Most of the teachers are great and the parents are very involved. Being a small community this has a very large impact on the students. The only thing lacking is the "Principal Leadership" I think compared to some schools in the district it is substandard.

I have two girls at green tree in the 2nd and 3rd grades. This is our third year here and we love it! there is great parent involvement, wonderful, caring teachers and good leadership. We are being transferred and we are sad. We'll miss all our friends at green tree!

Our daughter has attend first and second grade at Green Tree. Each teacher, so far, has been very experienced and made parents feel just as excited to be part of the class as the children. Our daughter loves school and comes home excited to share her assignments. I think the Math Club is a great way to make learning fun. Quarterly movie nights are a terrific, convenient way to raise money. We are very happy at Green Tree. My hope is class sizes do not get larger, an after-school enrichment program is put into place, character-building is kept top of mind, and make full day kindergarten an option. Having come from a full day primary program I saw how easy 5-6 years old adapt to a full day and the fun they have learning and what they are capable of. I feel half day kids struggled some in first grade.

The leadership at this school is lacking. Parents are constently bombarded with fund raising requests - where does the money go? I have been very disappointed in what was to have been the premier elementary school in the district. If this is the best, then the school board needs to be voted out. Leadership is lacking, teachers are more concerned about their rules than about learning and teaching. Bullies are allowed to envoke harm to others without consequences. Very disappointed.

We sent our 3 boys through green tree, they moved up to south middle school and to timberland. We could not be more pleases with the teachers and support staff. We would reccommend gree tree to anyone wishing to have an excellent elementary experience with their children. Also get involved with pta etc..
