Each of my children have attended Benton School for their Elementary years. As a whole, the teachers are wonderful and involved with their students. We as a family have made it a priority to live within Benton's district soley based on the positive experiences our children have had there. On the downside, the student/teacher ratio is very high this year, yet no additional teachers have been added to accomodate the growing student population.

My two kids have attended Benton elementary for three years now! What a great school! Many of the teachers there have Years and Years of experience. I have never seen such loving, energetic, and well rounded teachers. Coach Moore, you rock! The principal may be hard to warm up to, but she is a very nice lady who puts the kids safety and education first. Security measures have been added to the school. Kids are held accountable for reading and math scores, and there are special services for those who need it. This school accounts for all the children who are spanish speaking in the area, so scores may be a little lower. Don't let that fool you! Education and support come first. What a great place for kids to go to school! Thanks, from one happy Mom.

I want to give a thumbs up for Benton Elementary. I feel that considering it has taken several years for a bond issue to pass and to finally get some relief for our kiddos in the elementary grades. Benton has been a great learning experience for my 4th grader and now will be for my 1st grader. I come from a smaller school and didn't know how a larger school (to me) would be for my girls, but I feel that everyone does their best to make sure they know you and your kids. The only complaint I would have it the class sizes which will in the near future be less because of the bond issue. Thank you Neosho citizens for helping out our children and Thank You Benton for being a great school.

We have had some wonderful teachers, although the administration at this school has been very hard to work with. Seeing only black and white on issues rather than the heart of the child. I've had 2 children in this school and my third ready to go hopefully to a different school. They say they want parental involvement but only want it when it fits into their mold.
