My daughter LOVES PES. After attending catholic school in kindergarten and feeling like the other kids were always being mean, she felt accepted by the kids at PES. They are really big on their no bullying policy. AND she started the school year out behind in reading and math skills and was actually ahead of expectations by the end of the year.

The Elementary has a great program. They offer different options to yound students that struggle with reading. I have 3 boys that have attended PES. The Middle and High School, well, that is a total different story.

My child has been in another elementary school elsewhere in the state and it seems that PES falls short of what else I've seen. The teachers have no budget, they rely too heavily on parental contributions, and the equipment in the school is outdated and in poor shape. If you are in the clique it's easy to find out what's going on within the school, but if you aren't you will only know what your kids tell you. PES is adequate but the school system expects a lot from good teachers.

I am not real sure what I think about this school yet. What I have learn, is the school system is very short hand when it comes to help, and if you child is behind others, he or she will pretty much fall through the cracks and that is sad. I think our children are being pushed to hard, and to fast when they are not ready to move to the next topic. Base is what we should focus on, and stay there until they get it, if they get lost, but them in another group and work with them until they understand what is going on. Compare your school to another one, and rate it, I would rate it very low and very poor learning skills.

Both my children have gone to PES since they were 5 years old. PES is a school where the children come first. Each child is encouraged to do their personal best. The teachers are highly skilled and work hard to bring out the best in each child. The principal is kind and knows each child by name. She is a great example of a leader. Thank you PES for bringing out the best in my children and giving them the encouragement and confidence they need to go out into the world!
