We moved Missouri in the middle of a school year. My son had missed a whole month of school. Before enrolling in Mrs. Sansegraws kindergarden class my son was behide and she reconised this and gave him a in class tutor for 1 on 1 , tutored him after school on Thursdays and enrolled him in title 1 reading. Today my son came home and excitedly told me that he is now one of the top readers in his class> This is a great school and I would recommed it to anyone.
I work for a photography company, so have opportunities to spend time in many different schools and see how the teachers, aides, and principals interact with children. The parent helpers we had on 'picture day' were very good and involved. I was also very impressed with the principal's involvement and apparent knowledge of each child by name. They were supervised and we were treated with complete respect. Kudos to Potosi Elementary.
This school is one of the best. It has many programs to help both advanced and struggling students, and some of the best tutoring and title I programs I have ever experienced. The teachers are very well educated and do their best to pass this on to their students. Parents are encouraged to attend classes, talk to teachers, and speak with ANY administrator. The music, art, and physical education programs are designed to challange students while making them feel worthwhile and creative. This is a great school.
