Not enough classroom supplies, some teachers take grades on assignments they never gave, they do work on the football and baseball areas, they hire coaches instead of teachers, the yearbook teacher makes fun of students in class and the arts are under budgeted.

My child attends PHS. My child does not have sufficient materials for any of their classes. There are few books available to bring home and study. The students share books and teachers illegal photocopy material on a regular basis. However, we have a state of the art baseball complex, weight room, concession stand and bus garage. The administration will also "fix" your child's grade if you complain. Of course, then your child is passed in a class where they may not fully understand the material. I would recommend homeschooling your high schooler.

About the tests

In 2013-2014 Missouri used the End-of-Course (EOC) Assessments to test high school students in Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, English I, English II, American History, Government, and Biology. The EOC Assessments are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined by the state of Missouri for each subject. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.
