Take a walk down the halls, they are overly crowded, people have to fight their way down them. Now, let's enter the debate classroom, we see students who have spent the past three years working for seniority, now we are cut back due to lack of funding. This school is built around sports, I'm a student who has been in this school system since pre-school, I would know.

me as a student..seneca is an ok school..but they tend to be more on athletics then acdamics...and teachers there are a few that want there students to suceed but then the majority of them dont care, as long as they watch the kids give them something to work about , its an easy paying job for them. All of my teachers i have dont even really give me help at all, there two busy doing other stuff, and care to much about other things, i had to switch my scheldue bacause of this and after i did, my grades came all up to A's....but the school as a whole sucks....if your family has a name then the teachers and staff judge u by that..they dont care who u are, they just stamp a sticker on you and judge u. 2008-2009

I grew up and graduated from Seneca. At one time Seneca shcools were something to be proud of and I never thought I would say anything bad about Seneca but things have changed. We have too many hometown people working in our schools so if something is wrong it's hard to get anything done for that reason. My two oldest kids have struggled with school work and it seems like it is hard to get teachers to care unless they are new. My middle son is having trouble in a certain class and I can't get the teacher to answer me as to what I need to do to correct this. So yes, they are friendly and helpful if your child doesn't need a lot of attention.

Seneca HS is a relatively safe school for students to attend. Some of the teachers are excellent, some are far from it. When reading assignements for HS students are 'Books on Tape' you wonder where education standards have gone. Unfortunately the principal is more interested in athletics than academics, and as a result the students suffer.

I think Seneca high is the best school in the fourstate area. The academics are great and the test scores are even better because of the small class sizes.

The Seneca School District is one of the best in the area. Although much emphasis is placed on sports, the overall atmosphere is positive. The teachers care about their students and truly want them to achieve. The parent support lacks at times; however, I do not believe this is much different from other districts in the area. The small-town atmosphere is not as bad as some would think; it actually gives the students the chance to become more familiar with the faculty. Seneca also is also a very safe, quiet town for students to thrive. I would definitely keep my children in the district.

Seneca High is a great,small-town school. The teachers seem to really be concerned about the students, and want them to do well. I feel my children are safe, are getting a good education, and have access to extracurricular activities. The school has a good music program that is beginning to be well-supported by administration and parents. High school sports is a huge thing in this town, so the school tends to go overboard a bit on football. Most of the students are friendly to other students. If I could choose where my children went to school, I would still choose Seneca over any district in this area.

This is a bad school the Principle is a control freak and the teachers dont know what the are doing. The treatment of students is largely based on what the faculty thinks of them and their family. There were over 5 students expelled this year and each of them were expelled for things that happened out of school and some even in the summer.
