I have been in Seymour 26 years & attended k-12. I now have 5 children in the district. The education is not what it used to be. I've started homeschooling my 5th grade daughter & there are several families that have started homeschooling in the last year. However the lower elementary (k-2) still has quality teachers that care about the students & their education. The middle school is 6-8th grade & it is joined to the high school by the cafeteria, which means the 18 year old boys have access to the 12 year old girls in the morning and afternoon. The middle school principal, Brian Bell, is not easy to get along with, & he's not open to ideas other than his own. The rules are not enforced, the children basicly do whatever they want with no punishment for it, they even use their cell phones in class.
