Mrs. Graves, Exactly what all extracurricular activites do you think a school with limited funds should provide? Scott County Central has attempted to provide Track to our students, but unfortunately, many choose NOT to participate. As far as football, where do you suggest we host these games? Also, how much do you work with your own children at home on their reading? It sounds to me that you are leaving this responsibility solely to the teachers at Scott County Central. Could it be that your child does not do any extra reading on their own? Excellent students come from excellent teachers and excellent parents. To put the blame solely on teachers is a cop-out. Perhaps you should put pressure on your state legislators to allow the teachers to teach what they need to and not what the state requires them to. Check out their GLEs sometime.

I am a freshmen student at scott central high school. Even thought there a limited amount of sports and academics, there is a lot of comfort in knowing every single person at the school. You know each teacher personally and each student. I will be moving soon because I know I am very intelligent but I am worried that with the lack of clubs and sports that I will not be able to enter the ivy league school that I want to. This school has many positives but the negatives out weigh them greatly, but this school cannot excel without the support and financial funds that it needs. I just want to thank SCC for everything they have taught me. There are some wonderful teachers there that I will continue to love and miss. Good Bye!

This school is a huge disappointment. My daughter is on a 4th grade reading level, and she will be entering the 7th grade. She enrolled in this school in the 3rd grade. She was on her reading level and had good grades at the school she previously attended. I also do not agree with putting junior high and high school kids in the same school. This means my 12 year old daughter is in school with a 17 or 18 year old boy. There is a huge lack of sports available to the kids, only basketball. No football, no volleyball, no wrestling, nothing but basketball. I guess your kid either plays basketball, or nothing. My husband and I have decided for our kids' benefit to move from this county and send them to a more promising school with more to offer.
