Sparta is small enough to maintain that hometown one on one atmosphere yet still maintains a level of teaching that rivals the larger schools in the area.
Sparta Schools are a great place for children to not only get an education, but to develop into productive citizens. The schools offers a wide range of classes and activities for the students to participate in. It is a growing district that has seen many changes over the years. The school continues to upgrade their technology and is in the process of planning a major expansion/rennovation of their facilities. For the past two years the school has received the prestigious Accredited With Distinction in Performance award. Sparta schools are a great place to go to school and I'm glad to have been a graduate and cannot wait for my own children to attend there.
I am a graduate of Sparta High School. I think that they do a GREAT job of tending to Special Ed. student's needs. When I attended, they sometimes favored certain students, but that will happen in any school large or small. Sparta offers a very low student to teacher ratio. This allows students more one on one time, which I know helped me out significantly! I would recommend this school to any parent looking for a small school for their child to attend.
I am a senior at Sparta High and I would recommend Sparta to any parent that wants to find a good school for their children to attend. They offer many different classes, sports, and other extra/co-curricular activities for a school their size. Although the school is small with a population of about 750-800, it is a fast growing district with a bright future in athletics and academics. They always have the students best intentions in mind even though they may not always make the popular decisions. The school just received the 'Accredited with Distinction' award. This is the highest award a school in Missouri can receive. The teachers and administrators continue to strive to make the learning environment at Sparta the best it can be. The administration has been committed to improve the districts technology in the past few years. Evidence of this is the emints grant they received last year.
Sparta school is a terrible school in my opinion because everyday I hear about fights breaking out in school. The teachers there are to strict which is a hard thing to be but teachers should also show leniency towards special ed students which sparta does not. The teachers at sparta treat students like there in a prison and not a school they treat students like objects and not individual people. And thats my opinion of the sparta school system and there always wanting to be the best there not satisfied with average like normal people are I would like to see new staff on the sparta school system.
