I am currently a 6th grader in the Reed Academy part of Reed Middle School and I love this school so much. The teachers and principal are crazy but in a funny great way. They can be strict if they need to be. The other students are really friendly and in the 7 days that school has been in session, I have made about 60 new friends. Amazing school.

I'm a graduate of Reed MS and it was the best school I've ever been to. The teachers were very nice and cooperative, and did /not/ neglect the students. Who ever says they did obviously does not know what they're talking about. As far as I know the school's going through construction right now, though I don't find it necessary, and they've changed the name to Reed Academy, and added in more honors classes, and classes you can get high school credits in. So they're definately improving :D But anyway, this school really is way to discriminated, and I hate that, because I really and truly love this school.

This is the most difficult school to slove issues with parents and students. They look down on these parents and subject the children to low self esteem. this does not apply to everyone, but it does happen and it needs to recognized before it is to late for those students that need that extra help to achive the goal the SPS has set forth and the uplifting of their test scores. I just want to add that children are affected by the character and personality of the teachers and staff. We all must be postive role models and show them there is a better life.

I have a my pre-teen in school and the teachers are great but the safety issues are still a problem. Bullying issues are still a big threat.

I love reed. Its the best school ever! The teachers care so much for us, and we care so much for them! our academic programs are great! Teachers always stay after school, longer than what they want to, to spend time with us so we can understand what's is going on in the class. To me 150 words could never describe how much I love reed. I'm going to miss it next year!

Reed middle school is an awesome school! The teachers try to make learning fun rather than a chore, and try their best to get students interested in their work. It provides a healthy, clean environment and good for young children. Not the best location, but still awesome teachers, students, and teachers always put their students in front of themselves. Has enough activities and is an a+ school.

The best middle school in Springfield would have to be Reed. You have teachers who care what happens to you. I'm a senior in high school now and I would like to thank the teachers at Reed for preparing me. I was there for three whole years and I still have all the wonderful memories. Reed being in a bad neighborhood isn't true I used to walk home, I was never scared. It had plenty of things to do when I was there, it could not of changed that much. I was on STUCO and the volleyball team. Mr. Farmer and Mr. Ashton if your still there thanks for everything. If they are still there get your child/ren in there classes they will teach them alot.

Hi, I'm a student at Reed MS (and future President of Student Council next year)and was commenting on the less recent Feb. 2004 reveiw. I disagree fulheartedly to this parent who appanently had a problem. We are a very nice school with devoted teachers, wonderful after school activites, and it provides an excelent education. Although the students are very selfcentered and don't care what happens in their future, (the school also needs more advanced classes to help the neglected students with high IQs) the school over all deserves an A+. Rock on students! Keep up the good work Reed MS beavers!
