My child has attended Greenwood for 4 years. While the revues are quite accurate there are some other great things about this school. The curriculum is above and beyond other schools in the area. The band is okay and the sports are fairly equal to other schools. The opportunity to excel above peers is outstanding. Anything is possible within this school. However, the kids are spoiled, accept no responsability, and do NOT like new students. Bullying, clicks, and social standing runs very strong by the kids and parents. This school revolves around "wealthy" parents. Everything costs hundreds of dollars and the clothes you wear matters. What your parents do matters. Who you know and what country club your in matters! Any child can go far here but at an emotional price. One day your on top and the next your not. Having the benefits of MSU campus is wonderful and the kids really benefit. You have some exceptional teachers and some really awful ones. The PTA is mandatory and is not about parents helping it is about parents controlling. However the PTA does provide for the school. Great field trips and educational outings. If you have a strong child they will go far, but if not caution.

Third class school!. Teachers do not take bully issue seriously! Nothing great about this school. Director and teachers need to think about name calling, bully issue seriously!!

Greenwood only take care of those students whose parents are part of PTA. No diversity at all. If a student does misbehave then, neither the teacher nor the parents of the student take any action. Students learn one thing very well--- that is tailgating!!!

Academics are up to par with most college prep schools; however, the administration ignores behavior problems within the school that distract from the learning enviornment. It is very homogenous as another reviewer commented and lacks diversity in most grades and instructors have been below average in my opinion.

Greenwood offers mediocre educational quality compared to many college prep programs. There are no honors, AP or IB classes (they weight their grades excessively, but colleges aren't fooled), and course choice is very limited. Academic extracurricular opportunities are also limited. The student body is extremely homogeneous and, especially among secondary students, is often unwelcoming to new students.

Both my kids (8th grade and 10th) have attended Greenwood since Kindergarten. Greenwood is a College Prep with 100% going to college. Our students earned the highest ACT in area! We have great sports teams! New Biology and Chemistry labs being built with new courses if study. Your student can earn REAL college credit on MSU campus! Administration is great! Teachers are awesome! Parents and kids are like family!! Tuition is a value for the education that your kids receive! Sending our kids to Greenwood has been the best decision we have made! Our kids graduate Greenwood prepared to succeed at any university in the country.

Greenwood Lab school at Missouri State University has the highest ACT average in the area at 27.4. The small class size enhances the K-12 school's strong program of inquiry based learning. The high school students may take college courses at MSU and have the opportunity to graduate with a Public Affairs Diploma. Greenwood is currently preparing to build a new Science Scholars' addition with state of the art laboratory environments for Physics, Chemistry , Biology and Earth Science education. Graduates, including my family, were totally prepared for challenging college academics. GLS graduates receive scholarships to some of the finest universities in our country. Greenwood alumnae traditionally complete post graduate degrees in a variety of professional areas including : architecture, education, engineering, design, journalism, law, medicine and scientific research.

My son has attended Greenwood from K-4th thus far, and we couldn't be happier there! We felt like we became part of a 'family' when we entered this school. The kids get a great education, the administration is always open to hear any concerns and the family involvement is tremendous. We know we made the right decision enrolling our child at Greenwood.

My son has attended Greenwood since first grade. We feel enrolling him at Greenwood is one of the best decisions we have made as parents. We are grateful for the wonderful teachers and the strong support from administration.
