Profile Completeness

INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

I have not attended Dubray yet but might be attending there. This isnt a review but just a verification of how the school is. Im a little nervous because I have been in private school my whole life (since I was 2) and have had good and bad experiences. I'm moving into the area so this is the school I would be going to. If I do come hopefully the experience will be great. Please comment ( if you can) anything you think I should know... Thank You!!!

I'm a student at Dubray and everyday is a great day and full of fun! I wouldn't go to any other school. At Dubray there are amazing teachers that care about students and are willing to help. The principals are wonderful too!

I go to this school. And I enjoy it most of the time to be honest. I think teachers word very hard to keep us from getting bored. I also think a lot of the teachers do a very good job at keeping their personal beliefs out of their teaching lessons. Sometimes, though the school isn't tough enough on some students. They tell us if we disrespect a teacher, we will get ISS and everything. But I see teachers 'dissed' every day to their faces, and students don't seem affected when a prinipal tells them to stop it five times and no punishment. As a compliement to all the students, I think most of us are overall respectful to each other for middle schoolers. I can't wait to go to high school with them; if only the teachers could come to! =(

It's only my first year at Dubray, and I love it! The teachers, students, every thing! Especially the lunches. ;-) It's so cool. I've already made tons of friends and keep making more each day. P.E is so much better for me this year! I'm doing great, I even made it into the free throw shoot finals. Without Mr. Gebben, I wouldn't be able to do so good. So Dubray rocks and I think everyone should give it a chance. Go DMS!

I'm a student at Dubray middle and love it there! The teachers are so nice and positive! Plus the rules/puinishments are not too harsh, but at the same time teach you waht you did wrong. So I think Dubray is a great place to go and learn!

This school has completely disappointed me. When I questioned vice-principle, Mr. Hale on a discipline issue for my son it resulted in an extension of his unjust punishment. The admin office is incompetent in several areas, I have to write multiple checks for lunch because they can't figure out how to split the money up for my children. I also had inquired about my one child missing extended days due to surgery and if it would affect his attendance record etc. they gave me an incomplete answer and within 2 weeks I received a warning for the missing days which I had already submitted doctors notes for. I have one child on the honor roll and had to ask for him to receive advance math skills because he never has homework and I didn't feel he was being challenged. I just hope the high school will be more rewarding.

I have 1 child in their 2nd year and 1 that has moved up to high school. The principles and counselers have worked extreemely hard with my high schooler. The staff tries to aide each child, unfortunately they can not prevent all thing from happening. Teens are hard on each other and this reflect on the parent or lack of parent involvement. dms offers many extra curricular activities if the child chooses to take part. I do believe they should offer a peer support group for all grades to help students overcome emontional development. dms should spend time with the 7th graders preparing them for high school.

My son had terrible bus transportation to school because the bus was out of control and in my opinion unsafe. In the school, teachers and principal's go through the motions but do not seem to have passion about educating. This is evident when we try to speak to teachers about what our child is actually learning.

This is my child's second year at dubray, and all i can say is 'wow'. The teachers, principles and guidance counselors really care about their students. The extra curriculars are great. My daughter loves her school and i am pleased with her experience. It is a great place to learn.

My 6th grader is having her best year ever. The teachers and principals are extremely positive. She is engaged in her lessons and (usually) enjoys doing homework and projects. She is involved in extracurricular activities. The students are well behaved and she has made many friends.
