I pulled my son from a private school and put him in Long. Best decision we ever made. They give every child the tools they need to learn, in a way in which they can learn. Every child is different and this school appreciates that sentiment. He went from reading below grade level with lots of intervention to reading above grade level in less than a year. That speaks volumes to me. An emphasis on art and music is something that is often lacking today's public schools but not at Long. I love the school and the district.
A wonderful neighborhood school. New principal is a caring and inspiring leader. Mrs. Becker is the best teacher I've found. PTO comes up with really neat ideas(Pirate dance, Lawn day, Pancake breakfast). Parents are very involved in all aspects. Kids love to learn here.
This school rules! The art teacher was so nice.So was the music teacher and the physical education teaches.I was in Mrs.Garrisons class!
