This school give a great Christ centered education. If you are looking for a school that has great academics, small classrooms and great interactions with the teachers, then Salem should be the school of your choice.

I have been to Salem Lutheran School for a total of 7 years now and i have loved the teachers and the staff very much. They're encouraging and always there to talk to about anything.

My son has been at Salem since Preschool. He is now in 3rd grade and will continue through 8th grade. The staff are very loving and involved with each student. Class sizes are small and the academic and character building curriculum is amazing. I would highly recommend this school.

When my grandson started to preschool at Salem Lutheran in Affton, he was so withdrawn and could hardly carry on a conversation normal for a child his age. The teachers and aides were so patient and worked with him showing love and compassion for a frightened little boy. Today he is in the second grade at Salem, interacts well with the other children and surprises even this old grandma with his reading and math skills. When he reads a book to me, I want to cry with pride and gratitude for the way this school has helped him to develop. The class sizes are small and the caring Christian love is so apparent.

I've got six kids. The first four have all gone to this school from Kindergarten through grade eight. My wife and I still have two boys in Salem: Grades 4th and 7th. This school holds to very strict standards in academics and discipline. They require a lot of memory work, especially in reference to The Bible, God's Word. Every one of my kids have felt the strong, positive influence that this school adheres to. I can proudly say: My grown kids have surpassed my expectations in regard to spiritual and academic growth. I believe that what they learned at Salem was the foundation for their success in their future education. I highly recommend Salem. And I thank The Lord for Blessing my kids with such a wonderful school. God Bless Salem!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
