I taught at Life Christian School for 9 years. it is an excellent school for spiritual and academic development. They give the teachers the flexibility to meet the academic needs of the students using Christian curriculum with current teaching methods.

My family has been part of LCS for 6 years and although there have been many changes lately, I know we are making the right decision by sending our children there. The teachers care about the kids and teach them about Jesus and how to use the Bible in their everyday life. I've seen the quality of academics really improve this year and have seen my oldest child really challenged. We have seen the principal actively working on improvement across the board and she is accessible and listens to concerns.

We've been a part of LCS for 4 yrs, including the Church. Our son is extremely happy here, he is in 1st grade and the teachers love the kids as if they are their own. It's a safe, fun environment. However, if you're looking for stability in staff and faculty, this isn't the place. In the 4 yrs we've been here, we've had 2 boards, 3 principles, 2 financial ppl, 2 sets of office staff and numerous teacher changes. The students don't seem to be super challenged in their courses, but the kids do get great grades, not sure how that measures up to a public school, same grade. God certainly is involved in everday activities and He truly dwells in the hearts of the teachers! Parent involvement varies, depending on grade level.

The math/baseball programs @ the high school are wonderful. The students haven't been challanged by most subjects till this year.Support from the church/school board almost non-existant anymore. They are more concerned w/ dress code rather than character. My husband,a star teacher, and my son,a star athlete, are leaving for public school where if no one cares about academics/order, it won't be a surprise or disappointment to us.The new principal is a skilled wonderful woman, but her hands are tied by a board that reminds me of the St. Louis Pub. Schls due to the constant upheaval/decisions they make.

I really like life Christian school but feel the office staff needs to be more polite. The business manager does not return calls nor seems very friendly we pay a great amount of money to put our children there and expect ecspially when it comes to finical questions they should be answered in timely matter. I don't like to feel nervous to ask if someone to help me when it comes to my children so please address this.

LCS is an exceptional school in all areas. We have been part of this school for four years and are convinced that God uses the staff and administration to train up our children in the way that they should go. I am amazed at the level of committment by the faculty to the complete education of my children. My child is much farther ahead that others her own age from area schools and continues to surpass expectations for her grade level. Life Christian School is absolutely the best decision we've made for our children and family.

Unfortunately, we have been dissappointed with the qulity of the academic education of this school. Especially in the upper grades, the students seem to be 'spoon fed'; hardly any homework to reinforce what they have learned. The teachers are friendly and caring, but don't seem to challange the students at all. I have a hard time believing they call themselves a 'college Prep' school. Our child is extremely happy here, but we have determined that is because he doesn't have to do much. His social life is thriving and he is making straight A's. But seeing the kind of work that is expected of him, I wouldn't expect anything less. We won't be returning to this school. They seem to be more concerned with the student's happiness than with their education. We were hugly dissappointed.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
