I'm curious as to how many of the teachers at this school have a college degree? How many are qualified to teach the coursework they are given? Do the Math instructors actually have a degree in Math? Do the grade school teachers have training in elementary education? This school is simply a way of keeping your child out of city public school. Its definitely safer, but know that is what you are paying for. NOT education, but keeping your child out of public school. English and Math instruction is sub-par. I would be interested in observing how many of the kids can actually write a paper or perform basic math (let alone algebra) by the time they are seniors. I heard the science teacher just left. I can't imagine that they are able to pay anyone with good credentials to replace that person. FYI- a few "parents" and "grandparents" posting here are the teachers at the school.
St Louis Christian Academy was the greatest school. Both of my children attended there and got the greatest education possible! The structure was fantastic and the teachers are fa nominal. You could not ask for better or caring teachers. I would not hesitate to recommend this school to any one for true guidance morally and learning academically. You really can't go wrong on the price of tuition either. I highly recommend this over any public or private school any where.
I give SLCA a 5 star rating all around. My kids attend this school and they do like it. Compared to a public school, you almost can not beat the teacher to student ratio. This ratio ensures that your child will receive attention from the teachers at this school, who most, if not all are graduates themselves from SLCA. I had attended this school back in the day as well, and have no complaints. I know that times have changed since then, and SLCA now adheres to a dress code. My kids enjoy going to school there, and their only complaints are the homework, which is to be expected. They have enough activities to keep my kids busy. Several of my co-workers also have their kids attending SLCA as well and they have no complaints. On top of that, I was tough the difference between the words "to" and "too". I can only positively recommended this school, as I, nor have my kids had any negative experiences with this institution. I know that my kids are obtaining a quality education in a safe environment, because I actually take the time to discuss these things with my kids. Go Cougars! -The Pipsquack
Very pleased with my granchild's education at St. Louis Christian Academy. It is a Christian school that has been around for a long time and is well-established. Teachers work with students individually and communicate well with parents.
As a mom of 3 who all went to this school I really didnt like it. Teachers- not as fair as could be. The work was okay but WAY less chagelling for my childrean. Kids are rude I pay to much money for my kids to be bullied. My kids do not bring trouble I make sure of that ! I took my kids out half of their first year at C.A.
My daughter has attended SLCA in the pre-school program for the last 2 1/2 years. I have been so impressed by the way the school is structured, the values they instill and the way the teachers nurture the students that I will be sending my daughter to Kindergarten there rather than sending her to public school as I had previously planned! I am very pleased with SLCA and feel that they have been a blessing from God for my daughter.
the teachers are unfair and not careing to there students at all and i think its one of the worst school ever.
Hello I am a former student of slca. I must say that this school was a blessing to me as well as my other friends. The teachers are exceptionally outstanding and the atmosphere is really awesome. Please if your looking for a great christian school for your children, I highly remommend my former school.
SLCA gave great stability to my two children as they were growing up. I was a single parent at the time and they would bend over backwards to help in any way they could. I would highly recommed this school to anyone looking to get their children in a stable enviroment, with a good education and God being the center of it all.
