Central Institute for the Deaf has been a true blessing for our son who is profoundly deaf. The teacher to student ratio is often near 1:1. The level of skill and experience of all teachers, parent educators, audiologists and other staff is remarkable. The personal attention and care for the students is unmatched. There is a strong individual assessment and curricular plan for each student. Our son has learned an incredible amount in his time at CID, and has expanded his reflective and expressive language immensely. We are proud and thankful for the opportunity to attend CID.
CID has been simply amazing. The curriculum combined stung emphasis not only on speech and language development, but also on pre-academic and socialization skills as well. The teaching staff is incredibly talented and dedicated. Because of the structure they are able to focus on the development and progress of each child as an individual. The audiology team is also top-notch and being onsite they were able to quickly adjust to any device related issues and ensured our child has the best map for his development. CID also went out of their way to work with the school district where our son was mainstreaming and helped identify and address some sensor integration issues as well. CID is about what's best overall for each child, not just the speech and language development.
