This school has some good teachers, but there is a lot of displine problems and the bad kids don't seem to get in trouble for nothing. My child come home everyday telling me about bad kids that don't get in trouble. The teachers put them out and they get sent back to the classrooms. They disrupt teh learning of the other kids. The school is in a bad neighborhood and is next door to a halfway house. There is no playground or anything. The school building is old and falling part.
This school is a great place. My child is very happy here. He loves going to school and I can tell he is learning a lot. The teachers are very caring and the principal listens to the concerns of parents. I would recomend this school for any parent that wants their kids to do good.
Imagine Academy of Careers Middle School is a dynamic school with great leadership and outstanding teachers. It has established an environment that reflects positive qualities it wants its students to convey in the outside world.
This school gets a 2 star rating for last school year(2007-08) merely because of the way the staff and administration was treated.Also,because they failed to honor and pay teacher contracts.(I've never known Public Schools not to honor their contracts.) They also should never allow teachers to teach without any equipment and the proper resources.(if any) Hope this year is better for all.
