I completely agree with the review posted on February 23, 2004. The principal tries to cover up every bad thing that goes on in that school! I pods, money, cell phones, etc. are stolen on a weekly basis and the bullying is out of control!--EVERYONE SHOULD ATTEND SAINTE GENEVIEVE PUBLIC SCHOOLS--before you learn this for yourself, and if you don't have the right last name, you'll find it out a LOT faster. BEWARE!!

I graduated from Valle High School, as well as, Maryville University and Washington University in St. Louis. One thing I can tell everyone regarding the quality of education is my anatomy, chemistry, and advanced math courses (algebra, trigonometry, etc.) at Valle were more difficult than college and prepared me for anything college threw at me. As a matter of fact, I rarely opened a book in undergrad because I already knew the material. Graduate courses like neuroscience, neurology and gross anatomy were the courses that weeded out the academically weaker individuals at Wash U, but Valle's foundation allowed me to excel in these courses. The sports programs at Valle are given emphasis because they represent much more than just an extracurricular activity. They foster teamwork, sense of fraternity, self esteem, and they can bring together a small community. Sure Valle could just focus on academics, but truly successful individuals are well rounded and can react positively in the face of adversity. Sports programs are the sandbox for strategic thinking and perseverance. The Renaissance man/woman is alive and well at Valle.

Ask anyone who lives in this town and they will tell you that Valle cares more about its sports programs than anything else. They are in so much fincial trouble and unless it has to do with the football program no one cares its pathedic and unless you have a certain name in town you will not be welcomed.
