This school is working hard, too hard! There is not enough down time for 5 and 6 year olds, they are expected to write paragraphs! With a child with special needs, they give up. I have seen many students ignored or punished for something they cannot do, or for something the parents do not do. I agree that this school needs more family oriented programs. Parents are not encouraged to come in unless there is a problem. Perhaps a different administration style would help. Most of the teachers are really wonderful caring people, they are just pushing really hard.

This school is friendly and the teachers are willing to work with parents. I still pulled my daughter out and decided to homeschool because I strongly disagree with the fast pace that they move the youngsters at. Kids should move at their own pace and actually retain what they are being taught. Kids are moved along quite quickly and expected to keep up. When kids aren t keeping up to speed they are removed from class for special help. The only problem with this special help is that they miss out on what s really going on in the class putting kids further behind. (The no child left behind act is leaving children behind). This school is pretty strict. Not enough extracurricular activities or fun events. They need a stronger family and student involvement to keep school fun. Parent nights only once a year.
