This school is probably the worst school I have been to. I've been here for 2 years, and I guarantee I haven't learned a thing! The teaching is horrible. Your items will get stolen no matter what you do, which the school does NOTHING about. Plus, you will get tormented relentless for as little as 'weird hair', again the school does nothing about.
This school doesn't comprehend the well known fact that all students learn different and have different abilities. Also some children have reasons that they don't get all a's in school but some are for medical reasons!!!
My sister and I have been in this district for almost six years, and we are very pleased with it!!!We like Troy's schools because they are welcoming and have taught a lot so for.
We are generally unhappy with this school district. My husband and I have had nothing but problems with the school since our children were enrolled 4 years ago. We feel that there is a lack of communication between the teachers and parents. In children's studies there is a constant need of parental updates, so you can know what is going on in your child's life; if you have children like mine that don't give you daily updates, they just say fine and go on with something else. We have asked for more teacher interaction but so far have failed to see a difference. We feel that our children are labeled as problem children when all they need is a little extra help.
My daughter has attended this school for 3 years and am generally pleased with the education she is receiving. I do have two areas of concern. One is the overcrowding of the classes, 30+ students in each class, which allows less individual time for students. The second concern is I have witnessed behavior by office personnel and a couple of teachers that was extremely immature, temper tantrums I would more expect from a first or second grader.
We have been part of the Troy School District for the past 5 years and I have been very pleased with changes in my (2) sons lives. I am very thankful for the school district.
