We moved into Union RXI school district when our 2 eldest girls were in 3rd grade and 1st grade - there were never really any issues that could not be resolved without parental involvement until 8th grade into high school. Our experience has been that the bullying is out of control at the high school level (girls bullying girls). Our oldest daughter went from honor role to D's and F's, as a result of bullying by a female student who overheard her boyfriend say that my daughter "...was hot...". Yes, seriously. This came directly from the bully's mother (who ironically was the only other adult in this scenario who made any attempt to reason with the bully). If I had it to do over again, we would have bought a house and settled into another school district. By the way, this happened almost 9 yrs ago, and the scars are still evident. My youngest graduated in 2009. I am not even going to rate this school regarding the education, as that is a mute point. Until the bullying is under control, the academic rating is irrelevant.

this school only gets a one start because i cant give it a negative rating................my daughter transfered from a close by school so i figured the transition would be a little smoother but i was WRONG. bullying in this school is the way of the land here at this school it seems the staff sweeps it under the rug as if they have more important thing to do other than protect children and educate them.....i have had several meeting with the current Principals and have gotten nothing but unsulted to the point that my daughter who has only had one problem ever in school (shes a A + student and a key peice of thier band ) but shes not an athlete so now she gets singled out as the new girl and has been harrased since day one ...i will picket this school if it doent change

we moved from the st louis city area to get our kids in a safer school system unfortunately this is at a great compromise for their academic opportunities here in Union,Mo there are NO options for children with special needs that are not neccessarily handicapped or mentally challenged just in need of a different approach to learn

This school is inept. The principal(mrs. Wright) is in my opinion: unconcerned. I'm not sure what her job is, but as for knowing what problems exist in her school she's ignorant of them. All problems seem to filter to the counsellor or the vice-principal. What a cake job! there's a severe problem in this school. I consider it unsafe and am looking into other options. It's pretty bad when staying home to home school your kid and drawing welfare is preferable to sending them to this school.

This school is a bad school to have your kids go to! The principals yell at you all the time! Is that fair? I dont think it is! Me and my spouse are going on strike! Our kid is no longer allowed at union middle school ever again! They suspend you off the bus for putting a window down! Now u tell me that's fair cause guess what? It's not!
