My children are in 2nd and 4th grades at Sacred Heart-VP. The new parish center offers state of the art gymnasiums, a new library, new dining hall and a new stage for a new glee club and fine arts performances. We also have new interactive white boards this year that my kids love. All the rooms are online. I like how SHVP prepares kids for public speaking--kids perform from preK and get great experience by planning liturgies and reading in the large church at the microphone. The teachers have been great. Sports are good. Great P.E. program. Healthy lunches. I have only good things to say!
After looking at about 10 different schools for my children, there was no better than Sacred Heart. The teachers, staff, parents and community are the best and my kids love going to school. The opportunities my kids will have are endless.
My children have attended Sacred Heart since Fall 2003. I am confident that my children are receiving an A+ education. The academics taught and personal responsibility instilled are priceless. The teachers and principal are involved in so many ways and they are a positive influence on the children. The school offers extracurriculars like music, art and a wide variety of sports (PreK and up). They even have an after-school program staffed by their teachers! The parent involvement and school-spirit is amazing! While other schools are unfortunately closing, Sacred Heart-Valley Park is growing and adding a multi-million dollar addition, funded in large part by the parents of our school and the parish! Our confidence in the administration and our pastor is solid. Although the majority lives in the Rockwood and Parkway School Districts (some in Lindbergh, Eureka, Fox & Northwest), we believe this faith-based education is equal or better & worth the investment.
Parent invlovement is excellent as expected from a private school. Faculty and staff are committed to the children and their Christain learning experience. I also like the safety measures that are taken to insure a safe learning environment for the child.
I love Sacred Heart School. The teachers and Administration really care about the children and value all of the families. The school offers just about every extra-curricular we could want - including technology, music, art, even sports for preK through eighth grade. I chose to send my children to Catholic school so they would learn that God is a very real part of our lives - everyday. The teachers and administrators support and teach that as well. The loving discipline my children receive helps them build the responsibility they'll need to take with them as they grow. I can't imagine sending my children anywhere else.
