St. Francis Borgia Grade School is a wonderful school. The Faculty are caring and compassionate about the most important thing: The STUDENTS. The school's principal is driven to make his school the best, even through budgets cuts and downsizing. As for Technology: the computer lab is updated yearly, five teachers have Smartboards, and I can check my son's grades online even from work. As for the review below: You can't please them all. I am very happy with Saint Francis Borgia Grade School.
Very happy to no longer be a part of this insular little school, for many reasons.
St. Francis Borgia Grade School is the best small private catholic school in the Washington area. SFBGS's test scores are in the top 10% of the nation. SFBGS 8th grade students consistently are awarded partial or full scholarships to the local private high school. SFBGS has experienced teachers, a strong discipline policy, fantastic computer facilities with over 25 computers in the lab and a full-time computer instructor with peripherals in all classrooms. This strong emphasis on academic achievement is supplemented by leaders in the community, volunteering parent programs, a successful sports program, the largest scouting program in the area, youth band and chorus opportunities and a dedicated Parish Board and Parish council. Overall, the students who graduate from SFBGS are very prepared to enter the college prepatory high school affiliated with the grade school.
