I am currently attending WHS.. about to finish my freshman year. I think this is a great school as far as academics and extra-curricular activities. The teachers push us to learn new things, but are always there if extra help is needed. Teachers usually like to get to know the students, and develop sort of a friendship in a way. Principals are strict, but with a bunch of kids that think they are completely grown, you almost have to be. As far as sports, well you cant really go to WHS and not love them. We take pride in everything we do, and usually excel in all sports. Waynesville also provides students with tons of clubs, that get recognized as well. I would recommend this school to anyone, I love it.

I could easily understand why parents would love this school as opposed to the competition - for one thing it's located in one of the most secluded places in America: Waynesville, MO. Waynesville High is without a doubt not for everyone; one must be accustomed to the country atmosphere leaving high school students with little to nothing to do. The staff and diversity at Waynesville High is what gives it it's excelence; however, any students moving from a place that's is enriched with out-of-school activities, a mall closer than an hour away, and fun things to do that avoid trouble - be warned.

I would like to say that the many years I have dealt with the special education staff in the Waynesville School district, I have been impressed with their willingness to try and acommodate all students and families with disabilities. They have developed many programs and even took parental input on what they would like them to try. Overall I think that this district really cares about students with special needs.

Waynesville is greata school. I see other schools in the area and they just don't have the diversity and the opportunities WHS has to offer. With a new $22 million dollar school, Waynesville is truly a leader among Missouri's high schools.
