Every teacher is a music teacher. Every teacher is an art teacher. Every teacher has to become, by virtue of his/her job requirements, a renaissance man/woman. Even so, there are dedicated music and language teachers. Yes, you will be asked to limit your child's exposure to electronic media. This can only benefit your child and your child's learning experience -- read the research. And after experiencing the public school lunch program, I am more than happy to pack my kid's lunch. Further, my healthful choices for my child's lunch are supported by the teachers and other parents. They do a wonderful job of supporting kids with food sensitivities as well. I can't say enough good about this school. My children have grown into themselves here, able to engage creatively with the world around them, with a burning interest in learning.

Shining Rivers Waldorf School is a fantastic place. My son loves going to school every day, and has learned so much more than just facts. He can play recorder and violin, write beautifully, do complex math problems, crochet, knit, cross stitch, garden, paint and draw wonderful pictures and more. Shining Rivers has a vibrant parent community as well.

Amazing place. Truly inspiring. I feel so fortunate to have had my child there for 3 wonderful years before having to move out of state.

I cannot imagine sending my children anywhere else! Shining Rivers takes a wholistic approach educating the heart, hands and minds of children. It has a curiculum that is substantive, rich and academically challenging and tracks with both the physical and mental development of the child. We love it and feel so fortunate to have found the school!

Learn about Rudolph Steiner as all teaching has it's foundations in his philosophy. Hardly any teachers, no lunch program, don't let your children watch tv ever. No tv or movie characters on clothing. Only organic, whole foods are allowed in the lunchbox. No music teacher.

Great developing Waldorf school. The school is now permanently located at 915 Elm Avenue in Webster Groves, Missouri and continues to grow. Parent input and involvement is encouraged and the children thrive in this school's Waldorf environment.
