Holt high is a great school with with amazing teachers that are dedicaed to thier students. Mr Waters, building principal, is very involved and wantes to see each and everyone of his students experience sucees. However the loss of block sceduling and academic lab has made an impact in students grades. As students we learn bettter with academic lab. Teachers have more time to get thier message across. We need it back

I love the band program and I feel so lucky to be a part of this very amazing group. But I feel that the school administration pays very little attention to band and its achievements. We do well but if we had the school on our side I feel that we could greatly improve. I am also a victim of the terrible scheduling. I wish I could have been a part of the block schedule and the acedmic lab days. But I don't see any of that coming back by the time I graduate. Mr. Waters is an amazing principal as well.

Holt is a great school. I've had one child graduate in 2007 and another will graduate in 2010. The principal, teachers, and coaches have been very good. Mr. Cunningham has been an inspiration for many of the band students.

Holt has an excellent principal in Mr. Waters. He really cares about each and every student. He has a sincer heart and wants every student to succeed. The school also has an excellent band program led by Mr Cunningham and Ms. Ramsey. I have never seen so many students admire and respect these two teachers. The school district should really bring back the Block Schedule.

Wentzville Holt is slowly digging itself into a hole. Many good teacher are leaving due to the lack of pay they are receiving. As for preparing a student for college, they need to improve. I transferred to another school district after spending time at Holt and Holt didn't even prepare me for my new school. Holt does have certain teachers who do an amazing job teaching I will agree; but Holt doesn't let the student explore his or her educational opportunities.

This school has an excellent band program directed by Mr. Cunningham and Mrs. Ramsey, they lead us to achieve very good results in 05' marching season. :) The current German teacher, Mr. Needham is one of the best teachers, because he is able to teach his class and have everyone learn even when someone feels as if they are lost and confused. Our school's current scheduling is a block system which allows students to have time to learn the material that they need to without worrying about extraneous time constraints.

Holt has a tradition of academic excellence. Good teachers etc. Sadly, this is ending. The School Board and Superintendent are misleading the public- and avoiding public interaction to force changes. They claim that the teachers will leave due to low pay- the pay is lower than surrounding schools- but not causing them to leave. Reports say the lack of concern from the administration is a bigger concern for leaving. The truth is unknown by School Board/ Superintendent as no exit interviews are done. School Board can not be recalled under Missouri Law. Only choice is to vote them out- a very slow process- and demand the resignation of Board and Superintendent. Meanwhile- they are wanting more tax increases and bond issues- to misspend money- recently approved changes to both high school scoreboards will cost over 100,000. But then they claim to not be able to pay the teachers well.

The band program here has allowed me to be very successful in music. It makes a great addition to an already great school. John Waters, building principal, does a great job at running the school.

This school has an excellent band program. The band, despite no district funding has made excellent strides toward achievment! I want to know why the school district has decided to fund football, not a class, but not band which is a class. Don't you? The excellent class here is Academic Lab. It is basically a mandatory 1.5 hour Study Hall. The Block Schedule is also an amazing advantage!
