About the Tests
In 2010-2011 Iowa used the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math.
The results for grades 4 and 8 are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The scores reflect the performance of students enrolled for the full academic year.
The ITBS is a norm-referenced test, which means it measures how well students in Iowa score in comparison to their peers nationwide. Students who score at the 40th percentile are considered proficient.
The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.
The test results by subgroup show how the designated group of students is performing in comparison to the general population.

About the Tests

The scores reflect the performance of students enrolled for the full academic year.
The ITBS is a norm-referenced test, which means it measures how well students in Iowa score in comparison to their peers nationwide. Students who score at the 40th percentile are considered proficient.
The different student groups are identified by the Iowa Department of Education. If there are fewer than 10
students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.
The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.
This school was selected as a Blue Ribbon School in 2006
by the US Department of Education.
