Lewis & Clark 7-8 4

Teachers are very conscientious . If a parent had concerns about their child's progress in school, it is fairly easy to set up appointments with all the teachers. They utilize the team approach and so you can have a meeting with all of the teachers at once. School is over- crowded but school district 2 is building several new middle schools which should rectify that issue. School has a great music department, many sports, but more extracurricular activities would be beneficial for the students. Example : history club, foreign language, chess, community outreach etc. . .

The learning environment is hampered by the lack of concern over the volatile atmosphere. Bullying and looking at the kids as the 'throw-away' group make this a scary school. Kids 'survive', not thrive.
