The Vina Chattin Elementary is continuing to value and facilitate growth of staff and has high expectations for both students and staff, along with the rest of the Browning School District. This second/third grade school effectively uses Success For All, Accelerated Reader, Successmaker Software, Six Trait Writing, and Everday Mathematics to encourage children to build fluidity in all areas of thinking. The children are actively involved in their learning. Students have growing ownership. The environment is clean, positive, colorful, and cheerful. From the kitchen staff to the principal, it is obvious that student safety and academic achievement are central focuses. Appreciation for the rich heritage of the Blackfeet people is evident in all subject areas of the adopted curriculum and can be seen in daily instruction. The Vina Chattin Elementary has earned Model or Master Reading Satus using the Reading Renaissance component of Accelerated Reader.
