If you have a special needs child this school isn't the school for you. Long follow is better then this one whitter was even better then this one out all three long follow and for me to say that is a big thing. The teachers aren't all bad here but if you get ones that are best friends with the prinipal then you may have problems with the teachers . Don't get me wrong I like some of the teachers but if they friends with mrs. Z you probably are going to have problems. The prinipal is a bully and witch and the ones that are friends with her are as well, like I said not all are I've met some really nice ones. If you have a special needs child expect your child to be bullied not only by kids but the prinipal and her friends. Expect your special needs child to be isolated if you get one of her minions and she will try and run you out of her school if you try and stand up against her.
I miss this school!!! I miss my 2nd grade teacher! I miss my friends! I miss the after-school program!!! I love this school, and I miss it sooo much! <3
My dad went to Roosevelt, my brother & I both went to Roosevelt, and now my son is entering 3rd grade at Roosevelt - I am so thrilled to be such a part of the school and its history. The teachers are excellent, the principal is great, and they have wonderful programs for children with special needs, as my son had when he first entered Roosevelt in 1st grade. His previous school left him FAR behind the kids at Roosevelt, and by the end of the school year, he was fully caught up and loving every day there. He also has physical problems, such as tight muscles and problems with posture, and they had an occupational therapist work with him and he's flexible as ever now! I'd love to stick with Roosevelt for the rest of my kids' elementary schooling, but we're an Army family & must move again soon. Darn!
