This school has an amazing and carefully picked staff which results in the best learning environment for my children. I am very thankful for the principal, his love for the children and his desire to see them all succeed. The teachers show their true passion and dedication in their career and freely open up their classrooms to parents who want to be be more involved. The school's small size creates a sense of community and family within the building. The staff knows the parents by name and really makes it easy knowing our children are in good hands. Definitely the best school in Helena!
We attended this school and had bulling problems almost immediately. Neither the principal nor the teacher did much to help out after multiple requests and meetings. We were basically on our own to help our child through this difficult time. In my opinion, no child should have to go through something like this in any school.
I love Jim Darcy for their inclusiveness fo all students.
The teachers and supporting staff are extremely enthusiastic. It seems like everyone there really loves their job.
Great Staff. Nice small school setting makes it easy to get to know the teachers.
I feel Jim Dary has an excellent reading program. They work with each child at their leval and push them gently to go above and beyond. However if the child is not ready they don't go on to the next reading leval. I feel that their math program is the same. All the teachers I have worked with are more than willing to have the parents imput. The principle is the same. He is even known to call parents with a concern, no matter hoe small.
My sons went to Jim Darcy, 1 for 2 yrs and the other for 1 yr. When we moved to Colorado the teachers were amazed at how far behind they were. My youngest, going into first grade, couldn't read at that level. My eldest is finally up to 3rd grade level where he should have started at the beginning of the year.
