This school is underfunded but the faculty sincerely try to make do. The current administration (principal, superintendent, etc) seem to not understand how a school should be run. However, a student can thrive and make it out of there to pursue an education, should they not drop out prior to graduating.
There is a lack of discipline at Laurel High and if your child is not in the 'click' then it does not matter what they do academically. There is a great lack of help with scholarships from the staff. The tests score are not a good indicator of the discipline problems within this school system. The greatest problem lies within the superintendent's office and the lack of leadership.
